WATER TREATMENT PLANT
Mavtech Sunshine Coast Dewatering commissioned Sarjaro, an experienced remediation company to design and construct a specialised water treatment plant (WTP) to treat all types of water produced during Mavtech’s dewatering works. As sites and conditions vary, this WTP has been custom built so it can be tailored for each specific site with the ability to remove a range of contaminants including suspended solids, hydrocarbons, metals, nutrients and PFAS.
The Mavtech WTP has a robust treatment system which achieves best practice environmental outcomes. This is useful, especially on contaminated sites as we can treat extracted groundwater which can be safely discharged offsite or alternatively re-used onsite for dust suppression, dependent upon regulatory criteria.
The Water Treatment Plant (WTP) is portable and housed within one shipping container, making it easily transportable, secure and weatherproof.
The treatment processes within the WTP include:
- Flocculant and coagulant chemical dosing system
- pH control dosing system
- Zeolite deep bed media filters
- Activated carbon deep bed media filter
In addition, Mavtech also have two lamellar plate separators and an oil water separator which can be used before the WTP to further reduce hydrocarbons and suspended solids. Mavtech also has portable tanks which can be used for settlement and clarification if required. All equipment has been designed to fit in a small footprint to facilitate works in urban areas.
